Mark Duros
Mark Duros is a business and technology consultant with more than 25 years of finance, association and information systems experience, and for the last 10 years worked in the office furniture industry.
Duros manages Solomon Coyle research projects including the annual Operational Performance and Financial Benchmark Report, Quarterly Market Outlook, Compensation and Benefits Surveys, and peer group member surveys, as well as special projects. He also specializes in developing customer satisfaction surveys, needs assessment surveys and custom research projects for Solomon Coyle clients.
In addition, Duros is involved in Solomon Coyle’s consulting engagements including conducting Dealer Self-Assessment Surveys and performing financial analysis.
Prior to joining the Solomon Coyle team, Duros served as the Director of Research and Technology for The Office Furniture Dealers Alliance (OFDA).
During his tenure at the association, he led the OFDA Technology Committee, an industry-wide data standards initiative, and launched the OFDAxml standards. He was also responsible for the OFDA’s dealer benchmarking reports: the OFDA Dealer Financial Comparison and Benchmarking Guide, and the OFDA Compensation Report. In addition, he created the OFDA Dealer Manufacturer Satisfaction Survey.
Previously, Duros has held senior-level finance, project management and IT positions at several associations and worked with a public accounting firm. Duros served as Senior Financial Analyst and Information Systems Project Manager with the National Association of Chain Drug Stores (NACDS). He managed the accounting and CRM software conversion and was responsible for conducting the functional analysis, RFP development, software evaluation, implementation coordination, report writing and training program development for staff. His previous experience includes serving as the Controller for the Association of Brewers, Accounting Manager for NACDS, and work with a public accounting firm.
